Block out 30 minutes, 3 times a day in your diary. Use the 4Ds method for dealing with email. Delete, Delegate, Diarise or Do it

One final bit of advice on emails. If an email has an important flag, that does not necessarily mean it's important to YOU. Let me say that again it does not necessarily mean it is important to YOU.
It may be incredibly important to the person sending it, but it's your time and your priorities and your productivity that we are talking about. Don't assume that the important thing to them is important to you and therefore do not treat the email as if it's important to you, unless it is of course
