Marie Force, born in Newport, Rhode Island, discovered her love for writing while growing up in Middletown. She lived surrounded by her parents' passion for the water, and her father's restoration of wooden powerboats sparked a fascination with storytelling. Force attended the University of Rhode Island, earning a double major in journalism and political science in 1988.

Marie Force married a Navy man, moving from Rhode Island to Rota, Spain, where she earned a master's degree in public administration. After the birth of her daughter Emily, the family relocated to Maryland, where Marie pursued a career as a telecommuter while her husband served on the U.S.S. John F. Kennedy.

In 2002, Marie revisited a character named Jack who had lingered in her mind. Despite life's challenges, including her mother's battle with pancreatic cancer, Marie found solace in writing. Her mother's passing in 2004 became a turning point, motivating Marie to fulfil her dream. In 2005, she completed her first book, Treading Water, and published it with its sequels, Marking Time and Starting Over, in late 2011.

Over 50 books were written by Marie, including the McCarthy Series and the Green Mountain Series. Notably, Waiting for Love became a New York Times bestseller. She explored the erotic romance genre with the Quantum Trilogy, comprising Virtuous, Valorous, and Victorious. The success of this trilogy led to additional releases, such as Rapturous and Ravenous.

Force continues to captivate readers with her storytelling prowess. She ventured into self-publishing, driven by the enthusiasm of her readers.

Marie Force lives with her family in Portsmouth, Rhode Island.
