This is a practical habits book based on the writer's real experiences working remotely. People from around the world have sought mentoring from Windyasari—via mentoring platforms or direct messages—on how to handle remote job interviews and what to do after getting a job, especially as non-Western workers. Some Westerners have also asked her for guidance on work, motherhood, and portfolio reviews, covering topics such as imposter syndrome and language barriers.

This book exists not just to help remote workers, but also the remote workplaces and companies themselves. It aims to remind remote workers to maintain good attitudes and behaviors, even when no one is watching. In this digital and social media era, where integrity is often overlooked as long as someone has power or many followers, this should not happen—especially for remote workers, whether working full-time or as freelancers.

This book is for win-win solutions between the remote workers and remote companies. Getting a job globally remotely as a non-Western can be so tough, yet we need to be accountable and have really great integrity, not by playing victim just because we are in the minority. We might have no intention to hurt others or break the rules, but it might be the gap between daily habits and situations, or even limitations.

In this book, you will learn:

How to handle different time zones without harming others or burning outHow to ensure working remotely is not a disaster and remains an advantage compared to working onsiteHow to face rejections and handle imposter syndrome as a non-Western workerHow to navigate remote job interviewsHow to maintain an attitude as a remote worker that prevents companies—whether Western or non-Western—from being upset or blacklisting your country (even if it's their personal preference)How to prepare yourself to attract remote recruitersHow to lead effectively when working remotely

and any other things, that can help you be prepared and more confident when working remotely.
