Anthony is a former speechwriter, committee professional staffer, and legislative director in the U.S. House of Representatives. In the 111th Congress he directed hearings and investigations of the National Archives and presidential libraries for the House Committee on Oversight & Government Reform. A recognized expert in federal and presidential records and libraries, he earned a Master’s degree in Management & Systems from New York University and spent eighteen years as an information technology consultant. During the twelve years he researched this book, he spent an average of one month in each federal presidential library archive and museum over more than thirty trips. A native Long Islander, Anthony now lives in rural Maryland, where he enjoys the outdoors and misses bagels and pizza.
